Now, RSS feeds I like. As I am unimpressed by most of the newspapers I buy, and am disgusted by TV news most of the time, this is going to be my new way to keep up with the news without the gruesome entertainment of personal tragedies and knee-jerker stories.
I've signed up for a few news and library feeds that were suggested by bloglines. It will take some tweaking to get to know which to keep...but I can see the value here. As I go offline occasionally, sometimes for extended periods, the backlog of RSS could be overwhelming. Luckily I am a chucker rather than a hoarder. I need to spend some more time looking at my bloglines account after a couple of days away to see how easy it is to delete older or already read posts.
